Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flyin g over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together...

Shadow -  Shadow was a sweet big boy that left this world after having been diagnosed with a brain tumor.  This happened very quickly.  He will be sorely missed.

NTSR/LiliBeth.jpg

LiliBeth Grace on November 12th crossed to the Rainbow Bridge in the arms of Mari, who loved her more than words can express.  A sweet Soul of 15 years came into Rescue as a Senior and was scooped up by Mari.  She will be so missed by all but mostly by Mari and all the her brothers and sister of the home, Zach, Bandi and Lexi

Pepper Anne

Pepper Anne was the absolute sweetest girl.  When she came into rescue she had a host of medical issues.  Working closely with our vets we were able to give Pepper Anne several months of love and relative well-being.  She was quite the character and the ultimate chow hound.  If she thought there might be something to eat, she quietly found a way to get it even if it meant climbing up on a chair to get on the table to retrieve her prize.  She is sorely missed by her foster moms.

Molly crossed over the Rainbow Bridge Feb 2011

If there was a definition of independent it should have a picture of a small black Scotty named Molly as she made her own decisions on what she wanted to do with only a slight acknowledgment of her masters desires. Not to be controlled by the tug of a leash if she decided to proceed with forward progress it would be of her own accord when the leash was removed and a pace determined by her moment of personal persuasion with only a slight consideration of her caretakers whereabouts in her environment. Defiant and non persuasive was her attitude not to be ruled or ever controlled she held her place on the throne of her existence above all other creatures until the end. When I got her she was A.K.C. Princess Molly Madison and she made it clear she was of royal lineage and if i ever questioned her inherited affluence her exalted sense of self would make it clear that she was no humans subordinate and would only be entertained at her own convenience. Above all others she prospered, dignity never vanished, and held a taste of transcendence that only she understood. Princess Molly rest in peace

NTSR/Barney2009-1.JPG

Barney was a sweet little "Ole Man" when he came into rescue.  He spent the remainder of his time with his foster moms' being loved and spoiled.  He was truly a sweet soul and will be very much missed.

NTSR_PICS_2009/Rowena.jpg

Wee Rowena came into rescue in the summer of 2006.  Fresh from delivering a litter of puppies and saddled with ear and skin infections, she was a sad little girl.  Her new mom and dad came to pick her up to live with an extended pack of various dogs including 2 other Scotties.  With love, medication and some good food, she started to blossom.  She became the apple of her daddy's eye and she became a true "Daddy's Girl".  She adored him more than anything else except perhaps her teething keys that she carried proudly around the house.  Cancer may have stolen her from her family but her sweet memory will stay with them forever.  She is very sorely missed.

Miss Taylor English was always dressed in style where ever she went.  Taylor was 15 1/2 years old  and will be missed so much.  Fala Day is not the same without Taylor and her one of a kind costumes.
Dressed in style in the Heavens above, we love and miss you.

Mom Susan

NTSR/bootsie2007web.jpg

Bootsie came to us when she was already 8 years old.  Being the Diva that she was, she had been keeping Dooley and Barkley in line for the last 4 years.  Unfortunatly a month ago she was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in the mouth.  After having surgery to remove what could be removed,  she succomed to her illness and went over the rainbow bridge Sunday Jan 25th.

Mac, the Westie
NTSR_PICS_2009/Mac1.jpg

Mac the Westie came into rescue with a Scottie buddy.  Mac was an elderly little man and very sweet.  His loss was sudden and very unexpected.

NTSR_PICS_2010/Buddy.JPG

Buddy was a 6 year male Scottie with great dignity.  Although not given that by his owners, he was dropped off in a Wal-Mart parking lot, infested with fleas and sores from the bites and half of his hair gone.  Not given the care and the love he deserved to have, Buddy still had a lot of spunk.  He loved his warm soothing baths.  NTSR learned that Buddy was also in stage 4 of cancer.  Given his depleted immune system, we helped Buddy cross over the Rainbow Bridge with all of his dignity on 2-23-2010

Jack 12/15/2011
NTSR/Jack_2011.JPG

Jack was rescued in June 2004 , and given a huge yard to run in and chase squirrels, his favorite pastime! He loved to play ball, and was the best retriever ever! He would ready himself with one paw up...ready to get that ball as fast as he could! He was filled with love in his heart and it showed in his eyes! His Sister Heather came along 2 years later, and they were bonded from day one! Little Heather has not has one day without her brother for 5 years! Jack went to Rainbows bridge 12/15/11 @4:10 p.m.  May God bless his sweet soul and he will be sadly missed by his Mommy, Daddy and Scottie rescue Heather Brae! Thank You Margy and Wanda for blessing us'
